What is MMR/Rating in Dota 2?

MMR (rating) - value that determines your approximate skill level. It is calculated using special formula that takes in count:

  • KDA (Kills/Deaths/Assists)

  • Winrate

  • Damage dealt to enemy heroes

What is MMR needed for?

MMR in Dota 2 is a tool to match you with players of same rating. As your MMR rises, the higher will be skill of your teammates and for sure there will be less trolls,leavers,ruiners and afkers.

How is MMR calculated on account?

MMR calculation on your account is split into few steps:

First step: Is your hidden “MMR” which is assigned to you after every played match, before you start playing 10 calibration games. So it is best to play with high KDA from the very beginning.

Second step: The famous 10 calibration games. After you play them, your MMR will become visible to you.

Third step: After calibration games MMR can be raised only by increasing your Winrate. +25 MMR per win and -25 MMR per loss respectively.

What is highest MMR you can provide?

At the moment we can guarantee being able to increase your MMR to 5500.

Orders of 5500 and higher have to be discussed individually with booster.

Is my account safe?
